OUR LAWN PROGRAM

OUR LAWN PROGRAM

Our Residential Lawn Program consists of seven applications a year. Those treatments include pre-emergents, fertilizer, and weed control. All of our technicians are licensed and trained professionals that take pride in achieving clean and healthy lawns. After each treatment, your technician will leave any necessary notes or instructions on your invoice and will hang it on your front door. If there is anything concerning found on your lawn, such as an insect or a fungus, our technicians will bring it to your attention. So it is important to check for notes on each of your invoices. Since it is an average of six weeks between treatments, a problem could arise before our technicians return to your property. As long as your lawn is scheduled for all seven applications in a year, we encourage you to take advantage of our FREE Service Calls in between treatments if you ever notice anything wrong or if you are unhappy with the appearance of your turf. Our office staff is very knowledgeable of obstacles that may occur and what it takes to achieve a thick, healthy, weed-free lawn, so feel free to give them a call with questions or concerns anytime during our regular office hours. We recommend utilizing the tips and advice within our blogs whether you ever sign up for service or not. Estimates and consultations are always free. • Lawn Round 1

The first application of the year is a liquid pre-emergent. We start this application in January. It is very important to get this application down before the gemination of Barnyard Grass, Bluegrass, Chickweed, Crabgrass, Foxtails, Goosegrass, Henbit, Johnsongrass, Rescue Grass, Spurge and many more (click here to see examples) pesky summer weeds.

Our licensed technicians blanket spray the dormant lawn with the pre-emergent and are trained to pay close attention to all edges. If you have leaves on your lawn, our technician will use a backpack blower to move them to ensure a proper application. After the application is complete, it is recommended to water it in, however our weather this time of the year normally handles this for you.

  • Lawn Round 2

This is a second application of liquid pre-emergent. This application is applied starting in mid-February. The second application acts as a booster to Round 1 to obtain longer weed control into the summer months.

During this round, we add a liquid herbicide to combat any unpreventable weeds that pop up. Please wait four hours before watering the lawn.

  • Lawn Round 3

This is the first round of granular fertilizer. It is custoer blended for Arkansas turf. Our fertilizer is coated so it consistently feeds the lawn over several weeks.  We typically start this round in late May or once the ground and air temperatures begin to warm. Our technicians will apply the fertilizer with either push spreader, a ride on spreader or occasionally a chest spreader. Once the fertilizer is applied to the turf, our technician will blow off all driveways, sidewalks, porches, and any other areas that fertilizer may have gotten. They will then spot treat for weeds as needed. It is recommended to water in this application although our fertilizer is coated and will not burn the lawn if not watered in immediately.

We ask, if possible, to wait 24 to 48 hours before mowing. To achieve the best results, watering and mowing on a weekly schedule is suggested.

*During this time, we will be controlling many unpreventable weeds like

Nutgrass, Kyllinga, DallisGrass, Fire Weed, and Tree Saplings.

See our blog for more unpreventable weeds.

  • Lawn Round 4

Our custom blended fertilizer with even more slow release nitrogen for a longer more consistent green. Our product is custom blended when we order and is always fresh and free of fillers. Our technicians will apply the fertilizer with either push spreader, a ride on spreader and occasionally a chest spreader. Once the fertilizer is applied to the turf, our technicians will blow off all driveways, sidewalks, porches, and any other areas that fertilizer may have gotten.
